We are seeking a youth/children’s ministry intern. Depending on the needs of the two ministries, the intern may focus on one or both of the two ministries.
Pacific Grace MB Church comprises Cantonese, Mandarin and English Ministries. It is essential that the intern possesses or be actively pursuing formal education from a seminary or Bible College, besides having experience working with children and youth in a church setting. Additionally, the ability to effectively communicate across diverse cultures and possess a comprehensive comprehension of immigrant families will serve as invaluable assets.
Responsibilities:
Assist in Ministry Activities: Work alongside pastors to coordinate bi-monthly youth group meetings, lead Sunday School, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all participants.
Discipleship and Mentorship: Develop deep relationships with youth, children and their families, guiding and supporting them in their spiritual journeys. Assist in the development and implementation of discipleship programs and initiatives tailored to the needs of the two ministries.
Event Planning and Coordination: Coordinate with pastors to plan and execute engaging events, retreats, outreach activities, and service projects.
Worship Involvement: Encourage youth and children’s participation in worship services and help incorporate youth-led elements into church gatherings. Provide support for youth and children’s involvement in music or other creative expressions of worship.
Communication and Outreach: Use various communication channels to engage with youth children and their parents, including social media, email newsletters, and in-person announcements. Assist in outreach efforts to connect with youth and children in the broader community and invite them to church events.
Administrative Support: Assist with administrative tasks related to youth and children ministry, such as maintaining attendance records, organizing volunteer schedules, and managing youth ministry resources.
Qualifications:
A vibrant and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Enrolled in or recently graduated from a college or seminary program (theology, ministry, or youth-related or children-related field preferred).
Passion for working with youth and children and helping them grow in their faith.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Willingness to learn and adapt to the unique dynamics of youth and children’s ministry.
Commitment to upholding the values and beliefs of the Mennonite Brethren Denomination and Pacific Grace MB Church.
Salary: $20-24/hr for 10 hours per week. The actual rate will be decided at the job offer.

Position
Full-time Senior Pastor
Role and responsibility (Ministry)
Provide strong leadership, coaching, and support to the pastoral/staff team, deacon board, and other church leaders
Lead development of the vision, mission and strategic plans of the church, and effectively communicate and cast the vision to inspire the church and staff to embrace the vision
Oversee creation, coordination, and execution of short-term and long-term plans to steer ministries to achieve our vision and goals.
Oversee Cantonese, Mandarin and English Ministries such as making disciples, equipping leaders and reaching out to the community around us through missions, evangelism, and caring ministry
Oversee and lead the preaching and teaching ministries of the church, including theologically sound and effective/applicable preaching and teaching to promote spiritual growth
Oversee and provide pastoral care for the sick, elderly, or hurtingˉincluding visitation, prayer support and counselling.
Conduct weddings, funerals, and baptisms, as well as provide premarital/marital counselling,
Build strong community within the church across three congregations, and network effectively with outside church leaders and MB convention leaders
Educational background and Qualifications
Around 10 years pastoral ministry, preferably with experience in a multi-cultural and multi-congregational setting
Hold a MDiv (Master of Divinity) degree or its equivalent from accredited and recognized theological seminaries
Ordained within an evangelical denomination
Ascribe to the doctrine, belief and practice of the Mennonite Brethren denomination
Able to oversee the three congregations (Cantonese, English and Mandarin) with proficiency in at least one of those languages and some understanding of the cultures of each congregation
Pastoral experience in North America is an asset
Demonstrate leadership and coaching experiences
