  1. Welcome to our Sunday Service. Individuals attending church may opt to wear a mask or not, but are advised to be aware of and mindful of both the health of any vulnerable persons in the vicinity and their own wellbeing.

  2. Excerpts of deacon board meeting on July 8, 2023
  • The SRG for all staff was completed by July 14th, and a new review format will be created and implemented next year.
  • A new contract has been extended to Pastor David, Pastor Esmond, and Pastor Steven. The church is eagerly awaiting their positive replies. (Pastor David has signed a new one-year contract with the church commencing September 2, 2023)
  • Pastor Don and Pastor David will meet to review Pastor Don’s three-month ministry as part-time English ministry pastor.
  • Before being posted online and on the church bulletin board, the deacon board will review and approve the minutes of the six Family Chats. Anonymity will be maintained for comments made during the AGM, as per the previous resolution, and this will also apply to the minutes of the Family Chat.
  • A Special online congregational meeting will be called online at 230 pm on July 30 to vote on the following two suggestions –
  • To support the mission of Richmond Pacific Grace MB Church through its building project for an amount of $20,000 in 2023;
  • An additional $40,000 to be allocated to the General Affairs department budget to enhance the church’s electrical capacity and safety, enabling faster installation of electric equipment, including air conditioning.
  • Several outreach meetings have been arranged for the rest of the year, with the intention to reach out to our neighbours, non-believing visitors, and newcomers to the city.
  • August 19 – Community Day in partnership with CCM
  • August 25 – Cantonese gospel concert meeting
  • Gospel movie showing, art therapy session, and virtual Gospel network are in the works. Details to follow.

  1. 2024-25 Deacon Election The Deacons Nomination Committee (Members: Rev. David, Vicki Chiu, Kathy Wong, Tina Chan and George Cheung) announces:
Guidelines for Nomination of Deacons

The nominee should be:

1)     PGMBC church members 21 years of age or above may be nominated for election as deacons;

2)     born again, baptized Christian for at least 2 years (I Tim. 3:6) and is a member of our church (Acts 4:23) and familiar with the church;

3)     monogamous, irreproachable in marital relationship and relationships with the opposite sex (I Tim. 3:2);

4)     of good reputation (I Tim. 3:7/Acts 6:3)

a)        Not indulgent in bad habits or committing immoral or illegal acts;

b)        a testimony in his own personal life and family life (I Tim. 3:4);

5)     exercising full responsibility in matters of offering, being an example unto others (Matt. 6:21, I Cor. 16:2);

6)     of high spiritual caliber (Acts 6:3) and understand the doctrinal truth of the Gospel (I Tim. 3:9); attending the major church meetings regularly (Heb. 10:25) and is concerned with the church’s work; willingly co-operating with others in serving the Lord (I Cor. 12:24);

7)     has presided in other duties eg. Committee chairmanship, Sunday School teachers or others evangelistic works of the Gospel and is recognized as a faithful and responsible worker (I Cor. 4:2, I Tim. 3:10).
