1. Welcome to our Sunday Service. Individuals attending church may opt to wear a mask or not, but are advised to be aware of and mindful of both the health of any vulnerable persons in the vicinity and their own wellbeing.

2. In-Person English Sunday School 11:30am – 12:30pm
   • Children’s Sunday School in B4-B7;
   • Adult Sunday School will take a break for July-August
   • Junior High Sunday School in B11; Senior High School in A9
3. Excerpts of deacon board meeting on July 8, 2023

• The SRG for all staff was completed by July 14th, and a new review format will be created and implemented next year.
• A new contract has been extended to Pastor David, Pastor Esmond, and Pastor Steven. The church is eagerly awaiting their positive replies. (Pastor David and Pastor Steven have signed a new one-year contract with the church commencing September 2, 2023)
• Pastor Don and Pastor David will meet to review Pastor Don’s three-month ministry as part-time English ministry pastor.
• Before being posted online and on the church bulletin board, the deacon board will review and approve the minutes of the six Family Chats. Anonymity will be maintained for comments made during the AGM, as per the previous resolution, and this will also apply to the minutes of the Family Chat.
• A Special online congregational meeting will be called online at 230 pm on July 30 to vote on the following two suggestions –
• To support the mission of Richmond Pacific Grace MB Church through its building project for an amount of $20,000 in 2023;
• An additional $40,000 to be allocated to the General Affairs department budget to enhance the church’s electrical capacity and safety, enabling faster installation of electric equipment, including air conditioning.
• Several outreach meetings have been arranged for the rest of the year, with the intention to reach out to our neighbours, non-believing visitors, and newcomers to the city.
• August 19 – Community Day in partnership with CCM
• August 25 – Cantonese gospel concert meeting
• Gospel movie showing, art therapy session, and virtual Gospel network are in the works. Details to follow.

• Do not share your login/device, as each login constitutes one vote only. Family members who want to vote will need to login individually on his/her device;
• When logging in, use your full name (e.g. Hope Lee). Non-voting member or Guest, please put “G” in front of the full name (g. G-Grace Chan)
• Non-voting member/Guest will be moved to the waiting room when voting

5. 2024-25 Deacon Election The Deacons Nomination Committee (Members: Rev. David, Vicki Chiu, Kathy Wong, Tina Chan and George Cheung) announces:

• 2 vacancies for this term. Now one nominee is Rennie Shum.
• Church members may submit nominations by email or writing to Nomination Committee ( ) by TODAY, but do not contact the nominee. Each nomination should be proposed by 2 members in following with the Guidelines for Deacon Nomination (See “Guideline for Deacon Nomination”). All nominations must be accepted by both the Committee and the nominees before they are listed.
• 7/30 announce the Final List; 8/6 distribute ballots.
• 8/27 tally ballots, 9/3 announce results.

6. Thank you for attending the past Family Chat. The meeting minutes is online or hard copy will be available to pick up in the foyer. The Deacon Board will follow up the suggestions and opinions. Contact the Deacon Board if you have something you’d like to share.
7. Staff news: Pastor David is preaching in the summer camp of Westwood Alliance Church on 7/21-23.

12. 8/25(Fri. 7:30pm) Cantonese Music Gospel Night「重拾信望愛(regain Faith, Hope and Love)」Hong Kong Christian singer Gary Lau will share @PG. Cantonese-speaking family and friends are invited.
13. 8/26(Sat. 1-3:30pm) English Plan to Protect Training – Refresher @ ZOOM. It is MANDATORY for all senior, children and youth workers to attend once a year. New volunteers are requested to join an orientation training. Register with Miranda Fong :
14. 9/23(Sat)9:30am-6pm Red Cross First Aid Certificate Course – English @Burnaby CCM. $55 each (original fee $115, $60 subsidized by the church). Register with Cecilia Li, Joanna Li or by 9/3(Sun).
