- Welcome to our Sunday Service. Due to an increase in COVID cases, wearing a mask inside the church is highly recommended. If you have any symptoms, please rest at home. It is highly recommended to get the new COVID vaccine and flu shot starting Oct.

- 9/21 Deacon Board meeting excerpts:
- Pastor Audrey has signed a one-year contract commencing October 1, 2024 working no less than 30 hours per week.
- The one-year contract of Pastor David as part time intentional interim pastor commencing January 1,2025 is in preparation.
- The Staff Review Group for Pastor Jason and Pastor Victor will be completed to help them enhance their ministry before year’s end in the presence of a lead pastor.
- Pastor Bill’s request for stress leave on September 16 was accepted, and it will be from October 21 to November 20. Pastor Bill is also entitled to four months’ sabbatical leave after serving full-time in PGMBC for six years since March 1, 2018.
- The proposed organizational structure of the church and the different responsible persons were endorsed and shown as attached in the bulletin. The new proposed church structure does not require a change in the present church bylaws.
- The 2025 PGMBC speakers’ honourarium guidelines were adopted.
- The latest version of the mission department handbook was adopted.
- The details of implementing the church privacy policy were clarified.
- The deacon representatives of the 2025 nominating committee are Geraldine Lai and Denise Lau.
- 10/12(Sat.9a-2p) Old & New Deacons and Departmental Chairperson Planning Meeting. May God lead the plan and budget for 2025.

Prayer-Gospel-Mission-Bible-Caring
- Restart of the English Ministries Prayer Time
On Wednesday, October 23rd at 7:30 p.m., we will start meeting again to pray together. The meeting will take place in person at the church. We will take the first 20 minutes to learn more about praying as Jesus taught us to pray. Then we will follow up that time with a time of praying together with a focus not only on the needs within our church but on our community. For further information to contact Pastor Don and watch for follow-up announcements.
- 10/13(Next Sun. 2:30pm, the sanctuary) Joint Baptismal & Membership Ceremony. Group photo at 2:15pm. Deacon Board approved 8 to be baptized and 22 to join membership. 10/13 Sunday Services are at regular time. 10am English Sunday Service;
- 2024 LightHouse Harbour Ministries: Next visit date is 10/10(Thu) 7-9:30pm. Pastor Bill will lead English members and others to serve.
- 10/18-20 「the 39th Mission Conference」, speaker Rev. Isaac Quan from CIM Canada. Please mark your calendar. Register with Ivy and David for dinner order.
- Missions Trip to Casa de Luz in Mexico
A trip is being planned for next year to go on a missions trip to Casa de Luz in Primo Tapia, Mexico. The date that has been tentatively set is the week of July 5th to July 12th. The plan is to form a team made up of individuals as well as families. Further information about the trip will come out at our Missions Conference in a panel discussion / workshop to be held on Saturday evening (October 19) from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. with Pastor Gary Stephens along with Pastor Don. Please feel free to contact Pastor Don if you have any questions, but set this date aside and mark your calendars!
- 11/4-6 Short Term Mission Trip to Vancouver Island. Pastor David under the leadership of CCM small town mission ministry will go with one brother and three sisters ministering to the Cantonese or Mandarin speaking people in that area, approximately $200/person with max 50% subsidy from Mission Dpt. Please talk to Pastor David Chan today if you are interested in joining
- The deacon board has allocated an additional $2000 to the administrative department for subsidizing attendees of the upcoming Winter Conference. Forty applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis, with further details to be provided in the future.
- 9/29(Sun. 3-5:30pm) English Plan to Protect Online Training – Orientation. It is MANDATORY for all senior, children and youth workers to attend once a year. New volunteers are requested to join an orientation training. Register with Miranda Fong :
