Rev. Don Dyck
Pastor Don was born and raised in Guayaquil, Ecuador. His parents were life-long missionaries there. He came to Canada at age 17 and met his future wife, Diana, while they were both still in highschool. They have been married now for just over 48 years. They have two children, Jonathan and Jessica, and eight grandchildren. They have been foster parents and presently take in international students.
Before getting married, Don spent about six months traveling through Central America, Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela and Trinidad and Tobago. Upon his return to Canada, he worked as a transit operator in Metro Vancouver for twelve and a half years. Don received a Master of Divinity degree in 1990 from Canadian Theological Seminary and a Master of Arts in General Liberal Studies from Simon Fraser in 2013.
Don officially retired from fulltime ministry in June of 2021 after 31 years of serving as a pastor. He came on staff in April of 2023 as Interim Parttime Pastor of English Adult Ministries at Pacific Grace Mennonite Brethren Church. His passion is to inspire people to become fully devoted followers of Jesus and to teach others how to correctly read and study the Bible.
