New Here?
The Pacific Grace Family welcomes you.
It’s normal to feel intimidated when you check out a church for the first time. We’re here for the community, in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. All ages are welcome. When you arrive on a typical Sunday, you may see someone going to Cantonese Sunday school and a mother leading her children to Children’s Worship, while the English and Mandarin services get ready to start their worship. Our worship is packed with music, Bible readings, a sermon, monthly communion, praying, and a chance to reflect for those who need it. Don’t worry if it seems like too much! You’ll get a bulletin when you arrive that guides you through the service. We’d love for you to stick around after the service so we can get to know you.
Q: Am I expected to give money during the offering?
To sum it up, no. During our Sunday services, we pass around a collection basket where you can donate whatever you feel led to give. This helps us keep the church running and support our ministries. Christians use tithes and offerings to reflect their devotion to God in their finances. We appreciate any contributions, but you don’t have to give.
Q: What should I wear?
There are a few individuals who dress up (shirt and tie) for our worship services, but most people dress casual, like they’re going to school or a laid-back social event. As Christians, we try to be like Jesus, and he wouldn’t judge you based on how you look or dress. No need to dress up, just come as you are.
Q: I’m a shy/quiet person. Will church be overwhelming to me?
Attend and worship however you feel comfortable. If you feel like sitting at the back and just listening, no worries. But our church has a lot to offer if you want to gradually get more involved.
